Unlike traditional calculators, the platform translates clinical data into actionable reasoning — helping users understand not just what to do, but why. It is built around how experienced clinicians actually think: integrating physiology, evidence, and judgment under pressure.

About the Author
Perioperative Guide was created by Kozo Watanabe, MD, an anesthesiologist with 29 years of clinical experience, specializing in cardiac anesthesia and perioperative decision-making. He is a board-certified anesthesiologist and a certified cardiac anesthesia specialist in Japan. Dr. Watanabe serves as Chief of Anesthesiology at Chiba Medical Center, where he leads clinical practice and provides hands-on teaching in cardiac anesthesia on a daily basis. He is also actively involved in medical education, including teaching at Teikyo University Hospital and providing ongoing cardiac anesthesia training at Juntendo University Hospital.
